TOPIC: Memorial Day is devoted to those Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice -- gave their lives -- so that other Americans would live in freedom. But, increasingly over the past fifty years more non-military Americans prefer to visit the Mall instead of visiting a National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

QUESTION 1/2: Should America's leaders -- our President, Representatives and Senators -- ask retailers to close their stores on Memorial Day so that more Americans might be inspired to return to the true spirit of Memorial Day as practiced immediately after the Civil War and World Wars I and II?
