TOPIC: When infantrymen unsupplyable by the Army were needed for Surges in Iraq and Afghanistan non-infantry personnel from other military branches were offered incentives to become Army infantrymen. There is much precedent for using military personnel in military-type missions to expedite victory over persisent problems. The VA backlog has endured for over thirteen years. Too many veterans have died or commited suicide while waiting for their claims to be reviewed, while VA leaders cite multiple reasons why they cannot move faster, and while the Commander-in-Chief is criticized for spending large amounts of time golfing and traveling. The new estimate on cleaning up the VA backlog is now 2015... but many dates have been estimated in the past with failure.

QUESTION 1/2: Should the Commander in Chief temporarily assign active duty military personnel to the Records Center and VA offices to help in any way to clear up the VA backlog by the end of this year?

    Yes
    No

QUESTION 2/2: Should the Commander in Chief temporarily assign National Guard and Reserve military personnel to the Records Center and VA offices to help in any way to clear up the VA backlog by the end of this year?
